СМЕРТЬ ПРЕМЬЕР-МИНИСТРА ГРУЗИИ (Из книги «ДОЖДИ»)

Третьего февраля 2005 года в расцвете сил погиб премьер-министр Грузии господин Жвания. Смерть – нелепая: премьер-министра задушил обыкновенный угарный газ, у которого нет цвета и запаха.

СМЕРТЬ ПРЕМЬЕР-МИНИСТРА ГРУЗИИ

Его задушил угарный газ.

Вот тебе раз!

Не обидно разве?

Ни с того, ни с сего

Умереть, не подумав о смысле жизни?

Он всего достиг,

А тут в какой-то миг

Все пошло насмарку.

Вот и думай после этого -

Чего лезть на верхотуру,

Держать марку,

Чтоб окочуриться сдуру

Ранним утром спозаранку?

Эх, Жвания, Жвания,

Наглотался уголька!

Вот так всегда.

Не знаешь, где споткнешься,

Где стелить солому.

Не дай-то бог нам такую

Гоморр и содому.

Когда я узнал о смерти Жвания,

Я подумал о том, как тщедушен человек!

Как уязвимо его тело!

Бойся, товарищ, всех,

Кому жевать не надоело.

Всесильного комара, несущего малярию,

Палочки Коха,

От которой миллионы людей подохло,

Сосулек, висящих с крыши

(Они нам даны свыше).

Были смертельные случаи.

Они у нас ой как падучие.

 

Однажды я поскользнулся невзначай,

Порвал себе сухожилия и брюки.

Эй, сестренка, подайте мне чай

И возьмите меня на поруки.
